Our Team

Paolo Tanoni has a degree in Law and is a member of the Macerata Bar Association, qualified to practice before the Court of Cassation. He started his practice in 1985, gaining over 30 years' experience in business law and extraordinary finance transactions. He holds corporate positions in numerous Italian and foreign companies and investment funds. Between 2000 and 2005, he was a partner in the tax law firm associated with Ernst & Young Law and responsible for the global M&A legal sector. He was a partner and head of the Corporate Practice area of HoganLovells until 2012 when he founded HNF, where he is now a Senior Partner. Until 2014, he was an independent director and chairman of MaireTecnimont's risk control committee. Since 2015 he has been a Partner of the international firm CartesiusAdvisory Network which advises corporations, government agencies, family offices, private banks in both emerging and developed markets.

Tanoni Paolo

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Matteo Riccieri has been with Viridis Energia since 2020 as General Manager and Managing Director. With more than 15 years of experience in the world of renewables, he was COO of EF Solare. He was previously at RTR Capital, the solar investment vehicle of UK private equity fund Terrafirma, where he served from 2011 to 2018. As Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors of RTR, he contributed to the management and growth of the company, which was eventually sold to Ef Solare, making it the leading Italian photovoltaic operator and one of the largest in Europe. Matteo began his career with BP in 2005 in the Alternative Energy business where he rose to the position of Head of Project Development for the solar business.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mara Sartori is a lawyer specialising in legal advice on ordinary and extraordinary corporate transactions (M&A), private equity and acquisition financing. She also advises on the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, both domestically and internationally, and on corporate governance issues. In addition to being a member of the Board of Directors of Viridis Energia since 2021, he is a member of various supervisory and regulatory bodies. She is a partner at Cornelli Gabrielli e Associati where she joined in 2016. She graduated in Law from the University of Milan in 1995, where she also obtained a PhD in International Law in 2002. She is a member of the Milan Bar Association. She is co-author of a monograph on due diligence published by the IPSOA-WKI group. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish.

Sartori Mara

INDIPENDENT BOARD MEMBER

Gabriele Gualeni is specialized in tax litigation and corporate taxation, both ordinary and extraordinary. A partner in the Cornelli, Gabelli and Associates law firm, he is a member of numerous boards of statutory auditors, supervisory bodies and other boards of directors as well as that of Viridis Energia since 2021.
He was previously a partner in the tax law firm Valenti e Associati. He graduated in Law from the University of Milan. He attended the master's degree in tax law at the IPSOA training school in Milan, as well as the "Course of scientific specialization and permanent advanced training for tax magistrates and professionals qualified to practice before tax judges". He is a lawyer registered with the Milan.

Gualeni Gabriele

INDIPENDENT BOARD MEMBER

After his Master in Finance, he gained experience in consulting (Prometeia) and Corporate &Investment Banking (Unicredit and Aareal). Since 2015 at Viridis as Head of M&A and Finance.

Alessandro Magnarelli

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

She graduated in Economics and Commerce, with a Master in International Management and joined Viridis in 2021, after 7 years of experience as Controller in China and Spain. Curious, loves travelling and photography.

Martina Galeazzi

HEAD OF PLANNING & CONTROL

He founded the legal affairs department of Viridis in 2014. Qualified to the legal profession, he holds an LL.M. in the USA and has been dealing with renewable energy since 2010.

Alessandro Grimaldi

HEAD OF LEGAL SERVICES

At Viridis since 2017, a graduate in Electrical Engineering and in renewables since 2006. He coordinates since 2021 the ETC and O&M Team, for Portfolio Management and in Risk Management.
