Producing value since 2010
VIRIDIS ENERGIA was set up in 2010 to launch a major industrial devedevelopment project in the renewable energy sector.
FOUNDATION
In June 2010 Viridis Energia Srl was founded, a joint venture between Echidna Spa and La.Gi. Energia 2006 Srl, with the ambitious aim of becoming a leading operator in the renewable energy sector.
SYSTEM CONNECTION ROVIGO
On 23rd November 2010 the photovoltaic plant in Rovigo was connected to the National Electricity Grid. With an installed capacity of approximately 70.5MWp, it is the largest PV plant in Italy to date. Viridis joins the company with a minority share together with First Reserve, Partners Group and Sunedison.
COMPLETION OF THE FIRST 5 PV PLANTS TOTALLING 5.0 MWP
Siemens SpA completes the first tranche of projects as EPC contractor for 5 plants totalling 5.0 MWp.
CONNECTION OF A FURTHER 7 PV PLANTS TOTALLING 14.0 MWP
Siemens SpA completes the second tranche of projects as EPC contractor for 7 plants totalling 14.0 MWp.
CONNECTION OF A FURTHER 3 PV PLANTS TOTALLING 3.0 MWP
Siemens SpA completes the third tranche of projects as EPC contractor for 3 plants totalling 3.0 MWp.
START OF DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN BIOENERGY
An important development plan is launched in the bioenergy sector and in particular in agricultural biogas

The first project for the construction of a biogas plant from the agricultural matrix is filed with the competent authorities

The first two biogas plants, VBIO 1 and VBIO 2, are authorised with a single authorisation.

The incentive scheme creates a discontinuity in the sector and pushes photovoltaic renewables operators towards necessary consolidation: Viridis launches an ambitious acquisition plan on the secondary market

The acquisitions of the VRD 18 | VRD 19 | VRD 20 plants located in the Emilia Romagna and Marche regions, which were then subject to revamping plans that increased their performance and availability, were successfully completed.
ACQUISITION AND ONBOARDING OF 4 ADDITIONAL PV PLANTS TOTALLING 4.0 MWP
The acquisitions of the VRD 21 and VRD 22 plants located in the Emilia Romagna region, which were then subject to revamping plans that increased their performance and availability, were successfully completed.
SALE OF FIRST PORTFOLIO OF 15 PV PLANTS TOTALLING 22.0 MWP
The sale to the Blue Elephant Energy AG fund was completed following negotiations between private individuals.
ACQUISITION AND ONBOARDING OF 2 ADDITIONAL PV PLANTS TOTALLING 1.1 MWP
The acquisitions of VRD 25.3's plants located in the Marche region, which were then subject to revamping plans that increased their performance and availability, were successfully completed.
ACQUISITION AND ONBOARDING OF A FURTHER 3 PV PLANTS TOTALLING 4.7 MWP
The acquisitions of the VRD 25.2 and VRD 25.5 plants located in the Emilia Romagna and Lombardy regions, which were then subject to revamping plans that increased their performance and availability, were successfully completed.
ACQUISITION AND ONBOARDING OF A FURTHER 3 PV PLANTS TOTALLING 4.7 MWP
The acquisitions of the VRD 23.2.1 | VRD 23.4 | VRD 25.6 plants located in the Lazio, Veneto and Abruzzo regions, which were then subject to revamping plans that increased their performance and availability, were successfully completed.
SECOND PORTFOLIO SALE OF 12 PV PLANTS TOTALLING 18.0 MWP
The sale to the fund Tages Capital SGR S.p.A. was completed following negotiations between private parties.
ACQUISITION AND ONBOARDING OF 2 ADDITIONAL PV PLANTS TOTALLING 5.7 MWP
The acquisitions of the VRD 26.1 and VRD 27.1 plants located in the Marche and Veneto regions, which were then subject to revamping plans that increased their performance and availability, were successfully completed.
AUTHORISATION FOR THE FIRST 10.0 MWP GREENFIELD PV PLANT IN EMILIA ROMAGNA
The VRE.1 photovoltaic plant, developed by Viridis Energia, is authorised with a single authorisation.
AUTHORISATION FOR SECOND GREENFIELD 2.2 MWP PV PLANT IN LOMBARDY, ITALY
The VRD 25.5.4 photovoltaic plant, developed by Viridis Energia, is authorised with a Single Authorisation.
